Mini Sessions are brief photography sessions commonly scheduled during the spring and fall each year. These compact photography sessions serve as ideal opportunities for capturing moments for holiday cards, back-to-school snapshots, or simply commemorating and preserving your family's growth over time. Numerous clients choose to make this an annual tradition, affording us the chance to rekindle connections and craft stunning artwork that encapsulates each year of their journey.
The sessions are in duration of 20 minutes, and they are limited to a single location. Clients choose from available time slots, each with limited availability. So if you see a time slot that works for you, we highly recommend booking quickly, as our slots fill up quickly each year.
When is the next session?
Exciting news! We have two dates available at two different locations! Our favorite spot the American River in Rancho Cordova and a new location this year at the Sacramento Gibson Ranch.

-October 27th will take place at the Gibson Ranch in Elverta, Sacramento area.
-November 9th will take place by the American River Near Rancho Cordova.

Do the Mini Sessions Have to Be Family Photos?
You may use your mini session time for any type of portrait session. This can include a couples session, a maternity session, a senior graduation portrait session and more. The only portrait session we do not allow is a newborn session, as those are done in studio.
Is there a limit on family members in the Mini Session Photos?
Yes. There is a 6 person max, however, you may add other family members for an additional fee. Reach out to me to make accommodations for your session!
What should I wear to my mini session?
We recommend wearing clothing that matches or compliments everyone in the photo. This does not necessarily mean that everything needs to be the same color, but the style and colors should look intentional. Consider the following:
1-Should we go with formal, casual or something in between? Avoid mixing and matching casual and formal wear.
2-Should we stick to a color palette? For example, different tones of blue, red, or another primary color can look great.
3-Should we be silly? Sometimes a silly theme is perfect for family photos, such as matching onesies.
4-What matches the scene? Our sessions are typically in nature scenes, with natural greens and browns. You may choose to either match or compliment the scene.
When should we arrive?
The shoot will start promptly at the arranged time so please be sure to arrive at least 15 mins prior to your official start time.
May I bring my own props to my mini session?
Yes! Feel free to personalize your session. Our advice, however, is to not get too elaborate. We want to spend the majority of our time making sure that photos turn out exactly how you want them to look, rather than fiddling with props and trying to make them work.
How many outfits should I bring?
The shorter mini session time frame only allows for one outfit. Please come dressed and ready to go!
May I bring pets?
You may bring your pet, but please ensure that they are well behaved. Keep in mind the shorter duration of the shoot and understand that getting the right position and expression for your pet may take time that chips into capturing other types of photos. Please let us know in advance if you are planning to bring your pet.
Do prints come with the Mini Session Promo?
No. You will receive a digital gallery where you can view the images. If you would like prints and digitals we offer a variety of paper prints, canvas prints, and other wall art options.
What if we want more time for photos?
You may purchase back to back slots to get 2-20 minute sessions. Or we can work with you to book a full family session that allows you to select the location and have 2 hours of photography. To book a full family session email info@lorenzo-photo.com.
What is your Cancellation Policy?
Mini Sessions are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled. Life happens, we get it! If you absolutely cannot make your session and you cancel with at least 24 hours notice, you will receive a credit towards a future session. No-shows or cancellations outside the requested timeframe will not receive a credit.
