Megan and Davon’s summer wedding at Mettler Family Vineyards was such a beautiful and heartfelt day to be a part of. This vineyard setting in Lodi made for a perfect backdrop. Surrounded by greenery, open skies, and the love of their closest friends and family.
We started the day with Davon as he got ready on-site. He had his suit and details all set, and we were able to grab a few portraits of him adjusting his tie and finishing his final touches. Megan arrived a bit later and got ready in one of the bridal suites. Before she stepped into her gown, we captured photos of her dress, shoes, and accessories. Her mom helped her into the dress, and it was such a sweet moment to witness.
The ceremony took place in the lush garden area of the vineyard, framed by tall trees and summer light. It was a hot day — classic Central Valley summer — but the energy was joyful and full of love. Their friends and family gathered to celebrate them, and there wasn’t a dry eye during the vows.
After the ceremony, guests headed to the cocktail hour inside the tasting room to enjoy drinks and snacks while staying cool. We took advantage of that time to take portraits of Megan and Davon around the garden area. Even with the heat, they looked incredible and were all smiles as we explored some quiet corners of the venue for their couple’s photos.
The evening continued with dinner, dancing, and toasts during their reception. It was clear how much love and support surrounds them. Megan and Davon were able to enjoy every moment with the people who mean the most to them.
